In 6th grade, we are concentrated on academic growth and having a positive learning attitude. Academic topics include: speaking, reading, creative writing, grammar, and spelling in English class. Ratios, rates, percents, fractions, decimals, expressions, equations, statistics, and geometry in Math. Ancient civilizations, technology and how religious beliefs affect society in History.  Biology, earth, space, and physical science are all covered as well. 

Developing a positive learning attitude is all about each student’s personal sense of interest and responsibility in working on themselves and their work. Students are instructed what to do and how to do it, and then are expected to do it! This includes keeping track of assignments in their agenda books and meeting deadlines. Often, this causes trouble for some students early on, but it works out well in the end!
